Our Process

Step 1: Contractor Study

The first and perhaps the most important decision of any project is selecting the right contractor. Contractor horror stories are easy to come by, so avoid the low-cost, the fast, the inexperienced, the non-local, the single trade contractor or one you can't find a long history on. Start your project with research and study from multiple sources. We're confident the more you see and hear about us, the more you'll like!

Step 2: Let's Meet

Call or email us for a short introduction. I'm sure you have questions for us, and we'd like to hear about your project. Then we can schedule an on-site meeting to see and discuss the project in more detail. Most of these meetings take 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the project.

Step 3: Document the Project

In about a week, we will create and share a detailed job plan and estimate for your project. After careful review, let us know what additions, subtractions or modifications you'd like to make to this scope of work. Our first mission is to completely, accurately and clearly document the entire project.

Step 4: Schedule

If we decide to proceed with the project, both parties will sign a contract and we'll compare schedules to determine a start date! We start every project with a Kick Off Meeting attended by all the key players. In this meeting, we'll all walk through the job plan one more time to ensure no last minute changes are needed.

Step 5: Go Shopping

In the meantime, you will need to be shopping for and ordering any customer provided/decorative items. If you're good at this, great! On the other hand, if you'd like some help, we work with some great designers, suppliers and showrooms that can help. These partners can assist you with the design process, show you lots of options and ensure you get everything you need.

Step 6: Project Management

Every project comes with a full time Project Manager. From the Kick Off Meeting to the final walk through, the project manager will be onsite almost daily to lead all aspects of the project and ensure your satisfaction. This includes the schedule, our crews, quality control, cleanliness, and daily communications.

I started by myself with small projects for family, friends, and acquaintances. With every completed project, word spread, business grew and Manning Remodeling + Construction was born.”
